The La Lakers was the first team in NBA history with the longest winning streak. The Lakers were led by Jerry West (averaged 25 points, and 9.7 assists per game in the 1971-72 season), Wilt Chamberlain (averaged 14.8 points and 19.2 total rebounds per game in 1971-72 season), Elgin Baylor (averaged 27.4 points per game but he only averaged 11.8 points because he played a total of 9 games in 1971-72 season), Gail Goodrich (averaged 25.9 points per game in 1971-72), Pat Riley (averaged 6.7 points per games in 1971-1972).

The team continue their 33 conservative wins and became the best team in NBA history. The Lakers went to the NBA final and defeated New York Knicks in a 4-1 series and became a 1972 NBA Champion. Wilt Chamberlain won the NBA Final MVP with 24 points and 29 rebounds in Game 5.

The Warriors beat the Miami Heat and became the second team with the most winning streak after they defeated Utah Jazz on March 16, 2016. The streak ended after Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Warriors (95-108) on December 12, 2015.
The 28 games included 24 winning streaks from 2015-16 and 4 games carry over from 2014-15 season.
The Warriors face off Cleveland Cavaliers second times in the NBA Finals. They were leading 3-0, but the Cavaliers made a comeback victory by winning 4 games straight and defeated the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Final.

And they continue the ongoing victory until they lost to Chicago Bull on March 27, 2013 (game scored are 97-101).
LeBron James won his fourth NBA most valuable player at the end of the season. The Heat later defeated Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference final to become the first team to become Eastern Conference champion three times since Chicago Bulls in 1998.
